 VINE LIFE SMALL GROUPS
Welcome to the great adventure in community called "Vine Life Small Groups"! Success at Millington Church is defined by how effectively our ministries move people from the large environment of the church into Christian life in the community of believers. We believe that the small group (The Cluster) is the best place for sustained life-change to occur. In a small group, people study God's Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also a place where we pray, care for one another, and where you are missed if you don't show up. Small groups are one of the key ways to get connected here at Millington Church and to be encouraged to grow spiritually. It is our goal to have every member of our congregation involved in a small group.
We have a variety of Cluster Groups that meet in homes throughout the week. Some of these groups follow the sermons by doing companion studies called "Branching Out" and digging deeper into the message, while others focus on specific topics such as marriage, parenting, or Christian basics. This is your path to a great new life with new friends, wonderful fellowship, and remarkable spiritual growth! Come and find YOUR place in a small group each week. VINE LIFE ORGANIZATION
Every small group has a Cluster Leader who guides the group through a time of discussion. Each small group has a number of options from which to study. There is offered a small group lesson called "Branching Out". The Branching Out lessons typically complement or build on what we have heard preached in worship the preceding Sunday. Also available are a number of studies that deal with a particular subject matter or focus on a book in the Bible. In addition to the Cluster Leader, each small group is hosted by a person or couple. Light refreshments are served at the end with a time of fellowship to stay in touch personally with others in the group.
Small Groups are also a great place to train potential leaders. These apprentice leaders assist the Cluster Leaders in all of the activities of the group. Often these are among the most rapidly growing members, because they are building people skills, acquiring leadership talents, and growing in their faith. Our small groups do not normally meet in December and often take a break through the summer; however, the group often has social events during the summer months and invite friends as a means of reaching out to others.
